Lujiang
Alum Mine is the only manufacturer of potassium
alum--the natural green product. The history of alum
mine exploitation goes back to the hongwu year of Ming
dyansty, and nowit is morthan600 years. In 1956 the
governmental mine enterprise was established. After 50
years' development, it has been a midium size united
mine enterprise integrating the exploitation and refine
with building materials together. It is now one of the
national key chemical mine. The mine lies in the south
of Lujiang city and 20 kilometers far away rom Lujiang
Zhongdun dock. 100 kilometers north is Lujiang city and
19 kilometers eastis Fuding yaojiayu dock. It contains
12 square meters, and the alumite reserves is on the top
of world exploited alunite. And it has been put record
in "National 50 the same trade biggest
Enterprise" and listed in the "National 500 biggest industrial enterprise"
by the State Departmentof China. In 1998, the enterprise
got the ISO9002 International Quality certificate, and
in the same year, got the right of Import and Export
self-support.
The enterprise has a staff of more than 3600 persons, of which there are
650 engineers and technicians. recently, the enterprise
has greatly developed the third industry and find a
newway of "one key business with several management",
which has brought a more bright future for the old mine.
The key products of "Tangren Brand" potassium alum has
successively won the chemicalindustry department good
quality award, Anhui Horse award for new good quality
products, the 8th National new products with new
technology exposition goldden medal and Lujiang
famous-brand products. It is widely used in food
ferment, aquatic products bloat, medicine, food additive
etc. Also there are other products, such as Dehydrated
Alum Alk, Dehydrated Alum alk(SO4)3,yeast
powder,ammcnia alum,Concrete combination expanding
agent,water-proofing agent, accelerating agent,
aluminium sulphate, polyaluminium chloride, bauxite etc.
